I am writing to voice my total disgust at your interference in the York County legislative elections. Wes Hayes is not my legislator and not a really close friend.  However, I have know him for more than forty years. Since I was in the education field for  more than thirty-five years, I certainly had many conversations with Wes about pending bills and the legislature's role in "molding" developments in the education field. He was always informative and helpful. He tried very hard to do his job with honesty and integrity . I am a Democrat and he knew it.  That did not matter.  It didn't matter when he hired my son to be an aide in his office.  He looked out for the people in York County and, for that matter, in South Carolina. So you targeted him because he didn't go along with YOU.  And you did it with outside money. You worry that the federal government will "interfere" in our state and yet you take "dark money" from God only knows who. You will let federal Medicaid money go to other states when we need it. You would let farmers go without federal money because it's against your "principles." Really? What a hypocrite! By the way, Wes Climer was one of my former students.  Let's put it this way "he's no Wes Hayes" but I do suppose that you will expect him to "toe the line" since money does talk. Did you read the State Newspapers articles on how you and Mark Sanford have systematically ruined our state. Oh, so true.
