My husband, Clyde Smith Bryce III is a Gulf War Veteran who is now in a wheelchair and can no longer care for himself in any manner. The VA assures us that his diagnosis is CPS, Complex Pain Syndrome stemming from 6 botched surgeries during his time in the Marines. The VA has denied his disability once and we are working on an appeal. He has also been denied Social Security benefits twice now. Until his body finally gave up he was the CIO for Mirabilis Ventures (Orlando) and maintained their office in Harbison. I was the Director of Carolina Cockers Rescue and a stay at home Mom in Chapin. During my 25 years in animal rescue I saved over 6000 homeless animals from destruction in SC shelters, saving the state hundreds of thousands of dollars. I was also one of the first people in the country diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1984 and was a rural letter carrier for the US Postal Service. I am now also almost completely disabled. But we have dutifully given to our state and our country. Now, we lost our home in Chapin to Foreclosure and are having to rent in Manning. Our rent is now 4 months late and only because Robert Tribble (landlord) is such a fantastic man is he letting us stay here temporarily, but that will not last. At that point we will be homeless. My daughter is bipolar, pregnant and has a 9 month old. I also have 10 cockers who have been rendered unable to be adopted. My mother is ill and has no funds to help and my husband's family will not help us, therefore, as soon as Mr. Tribble decides to throw us out we will all be homeless. We were denied for Medicaid, I spoke with them this morning and they act as if it's our states fault that they denied us. My husband can go to the VA when we can afford to drive him to Charleston but I am unable to see a doctor at all, thus I can not file for SS Disability because I can not get a new diagnosis for my disease. We are on EBT and my ex is still paying back child support owed (total he owes is over 40k) to the tune of $280 per month, my husband gets $133 per month for having tinnitus from the VA. That is our total income. We need advice on someone, anyone who can help us until my husband's SS disability and VA disability is approved. Goodwill said no, the VA won't respond, Salvation Army said no, United Ministries said no. A counselor at the VA said something about a program called SSVF but they have never contacted us to tell us how to apply and will not respond to our calls and messages. Please advise us what to do. We need help desperately. At this very moment my daughter is at the Emergency Room for her bipolar problems and I am seriously at the end of all hope. Thank you, Kerry Martin Bryce 252-11-8213 24.88.115.32
