| (Columbia-AP) -- Governor Mark Sanford has
named a former congressional aide to serve as a legislative
adviser. Carl Blackstone worked for Sanford as district field representative from 1998 to 2001 during part of Sanford's term as the First Congressional district representative. Blackstone has worked the last two years as state government relations manager for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. The governor's office says Blackstone will be paid $75,000 per year. Blackstone is a College of Charleston graduate. |
