I was recently informed by the only medical provider in the state, Blue Cross, that my monthly health insurance premium was to increase from the already outrageous amount of 733.11 for myself and my 16 year old daughter, to 933.11. In addition, I'm no longer allowed to access my current physician, since he is not an approved provider. This is the third increase since 2014, when my premium was 575.00. After contacting a local insurance agent, I was able to lower my bill 50.00, by placing my daughter a on catastrophic plan. I was told by the agent that they had been able to sign people up for as little as 100.00 per month. I do not qualify related to the amount of money that I receive from retirement investments that I have prudently made. Why should I be paying a penalty r/t early retirement and prudent investments. I'm by no means exceptionally wealthy and the insurance company it seems wants to ensure that this does not happen. Please do something for those that pay privately. We are being fleeced and financially abused by insurance and drug companies.
