I am 60 and have had fybomyalgia since I was 28. I raised three children. Worked all my life but never made any real money to have a savings or retirement. I need Medicaid so I can have tests run. My insurance deduct able was so high...that being able to afford tests was not going to happen!  I lost my job due to my health. I can no longer take care of myself. I live with my son who is single trying to provide for his children. I am a burden. I'm too young to get my SS....I have applied for disability..but have been told everyone gets turned down..I need to hire a attorney? How crazy is this? At one time in my life I was allowed to get my ss at 59 1/2 until my wonderful government said no..you have to wait till 65 now. You will not allow Medicaid for sick adults...Tell me how to get the MRI I need? I spend most of my days in bed or depressed in my room with no hope. How can you do this to a person who has worked sick most of her life? Paid taxes and into SsI but can't get medical help unless I go to a hospital and let them take the loss or treat and street me like I have been all my life because of no money. I'm ashamed of our government...and of Sc governers who don't care about us older adults what need medical care. This letter is for you to know how I feel...even though it falls on deaf ears.
