It is my experience that I-95 through your State is the absolute worst stretch of highway compared to all the other states through which I-95 runs. On my last trip to Florida and back, over the past two weeks, I experienced bone jerking potholes and cracked road surfaces through the entire South Carolina potion of I-95. This jarring resulted literally in breaking the cabinetry inside my motorhome, and I have spent the last two days repairing these broken cabinets which are directly attributable to the rough roadway of I-95 through South Carolina. I am not asking for any reparation or renumeration of damages from you or your State. Rather, I am asking for your administration to focus immediately on I-95 repairs and resurfacing, before someone gets seriously injured or their property is seriously damaged from these potholes and cracks. Interestingly, it is my experience that every little of I-95 is paved with asphalt within South Carolina. Instead, South Carolina is relying on the concrete surfaces that were laid nearly 45 years ago, and these surfaces have been patched and sections repaired with new concrete, making the road surface even more uneven and bumpy. In those cases, where concrete patches were not used to repair pot holes, asphalt was used; and these patches have again sunk and transitioned into serious potholes. Please devote some state department of transportation attention to I-95, immediately. Right now, most travelers I speak with who have traversed South Carolina on I-95 all agree that "Happiness on I-95 is a full tank of gas, and South Carolina in the rear view mirror!" I look forward to the courtesy of your reply and quick action to resolve this most serious of problems. Sincerely,m
