I want to cordially extend an invitation to you and Michael be the guest speakers at our Memorial Day Ceremonies, on Monday, May 25, 2015 at the Hilton Head Veterans Memorial Park at Shelter Cove.  We believe it is only fitting that both you and Michael be our guests as you both represent the greatness off America with you as the elected civilian head of the state and Michael serving in the state's Army National Guard.  Both of you are such great supporters of our military.  

The Navy League is part of the Hilton Head Military Veterans Coalition, made up of the Military Officer's Association and the American Legion.  It is the MVC that coordinates both the Memorial Day and Veterans' Day ceremonies on the island.  

You may recall two years ago, while Michael was serving overseas, I presented you with a Spouse Membership to the Navy League, at the First Gentlemen's Golf Invitational.  

This year we will also be dedicate a new statue to the park honoring the veterans of South Carolina and feel it appropriate for both you and Michael to do the unveiling.  I hope you and Michael will be able to join us for important Memorial Ceremony.

A formal letter is being sent via mail and fax.
