I just sent a long email to Govenor Haley requesting a Proclamation for month of August for Gastroparesis Awareness. Over 5 million people in US alone suffer from this incurable disease called the "silent killer". You might look fine on outside but your stomach is parylized: nausea, vomiting, constant pain, inability to eat certain foods if you can eat at all. I have to puree what little I can eat and dependant on tube feedings 12hrs per day or malnutrition/malabsorption problems. We have 3 bills bills being signed. Main one H.R.2311 in house sub-committee awaitin more co-sponsors and ammendments before house vote. This is for more research &amp developement funding because there is no cure. We need more funding. All I ask of my fellow republican govenor is to make August Gastroparesis Awareness month. Many states already have proclamations in place. This would help the many people in South Carolina be aware of this little known disease. I hope she will consider gettin on-board and signing a proclamation from a fellow conservative republican who appreciates all she has done for our state. Please suggest to her for her help in this proclamation. It could save lives. Thanks to staff for any help.
