Where is the voice of the citizens/taxpayers of South Carolina being represented? That is why we have a governor -- to represent each of us so that each of us do not have to personally appear every time a decision... our choice... needs to be communicated, sometimes in vehement protest, as the voice of reason. We absolutely do NOT want to be dictated to from the beltway. If we did, we could do without a governor. Take our decision on halting and reversing the influx of Syrians (very likely mixed with Islamic extremists). We have no jobs, no road maintenance, worst educational system, and we have no insurance or assistance from the government ourselves. Furthermore, these "refugees" have already proven themselves to be militant and disobedient in Europe, having taken over the streets, opposed law enforcement, made demands, threats, engaged in civil war among themselves, refused humanitarian foodstuffs as not good enough, and have no valid documents even for identification, with no hope of verification or background scrutiny. All US laws are being suspended on their behalf as we are TOLD we are helpless to do anything but pay for them? I make zero dollars, apply for &lt20 jobs per month, NO unemployment, NO health insurance, NO welfare, NO food stamps, and I have health issues for which I must simply pray. Maybe we can ask the Syrian refugees to do as I am doing. But if I do not deserve my country's assistance after 40+ years of working/paying taxes, then the Syrians for SURE do not. Take care of us first. Take up a collection. Send them inland to a non-resort state. We have any states with minimal population and wide-open fields. I anticipate a response and an update on our progress at stopping this invasion.
