During gaining custody from his drug addicted mother, she brought in an african american man , one of her drug dealers who was determined to be the paternal father. The mother, paternal father and my son tested positive for cocaine and I was awarded temporary custody. The problem now is that the paternal father has been clean almost 365 days and S.C. law says if paternal is competant they get custody, period. This law does not take into account whats best for the child and that he had his life broken enough than to take him from his home and placed with a family he barely knows and when the father will basically rely on his sister and mother to raise my son, whom is almost 7 yrs old! This law should be repealed immediately or frozen before mine or any other family is ruined. The paternal should not be rewarded for having sex for drugs and ruining the life of my son, Ryan. Please contact me as soon as possible, I'm pleading for help for my son and myself! Thank you, Frederick A Brown Jr.
