In light of the flooding, I have a constructive critism that I would like you to think about and see if it could be mandated or put into a law of sorts. With technology being what it is, how is it that there have been so few updates to the public on road closures. Example is most road closing announcements have to be found on facebook and newscast. It would be nice if the information could be centralized to be dispersed through local government websites. Updated road closures are few and far between. If a press announcement is made to a news station, it should not be impossible to think that the same info could be posted as well, someone in IT should be sitting on a emergency agency. Example is Horry counties website was last updated in July. SCDOT's website looked incomplete, but I couldn't tell because it never loaded properly. Google maps tried showing me Roads closed from the fire in Horry in 09. It few and far between and hard to find. 511 seemed to work best though. If it could be disseminated Into the same systems GPS navigation that is used on your phone that could be great. Thanks for your time, y'all are doing great. Just please help make it safer by being able to find the information in a quicker more reliable updated manner, please.
