I especially admire your fiscal conservatism. I have begun receiving new license plates for my cars. I have learned (from the DMV) that our plates were redesigned to respect and remember our tragic flood last year. I believe that the costs of re-issuing tags across the State undoubtedly costs the taxpayers of this State unnecessarily. I believe few people will know why new tags were given out, and I suspect few taxpayers would feel the tax money was well spent. It sounds to me as if someone in a board room felt an ego-induced sense of accomplishment or agrandizement in coming up with this idea. Stuff like this is how budgets get out of control. My credit card bills are many thousands of dollars each month. Interestingly, most of my charges are in the 10-30 dollar range. Please pass this concern down. Thanks for who you are, and for all you do for the people of this State. Respectfully, Jay B. Robards
