I was led to here. It is SMA awareness month (spinal muscular atrophy) which is a rare and absolutely heartbreaking disease, that affects babies and young children, but also affects so many others. I am the aunt of a SMA warrior, my nephew Graeme is the most awesome and strong person I know. He's only 2 1/2. Here's a little info about SMA. "SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat, or breathe. It is the number one genetic cause of death for infants." For more info you can check out Curesma.org. Please contact me with any questions or "language" you may need for the proclamation, I have an exampl from other states. Thanks!
