As a fire fighter he recieves SC Retirement; therefore, I believe; he is considered a State Employee. With this being the case can you confirm if he is to be paid for Military training time for his weekend drills as well as the two week training per summer? I read somewhere on a SC Government page that SCNG soliders are to receive 15 paid days per year for their training by their employees or cannot lose pay for the shifts they miss while on drill training. Also, can his chief require him to swap work time with another fire fighter to cover his shift for the time he is drill training? Thank you for your help in this matter, as well as, all that you do for our state and military! Sincerely, Shannon Pritchett
