Bet you're excited about your new position in the Trump Administration. I'm on the fence about what to expect from our new president but am certainly willing to give him a fair chance and know it's going to be a huge life change for him and those who will be working with him. I wish you all success! I met you: 1) in Abbeville at a street festival when you were running for governor and, 2) when I presented you with one of my handmade tiles in 2012 after you had spoken at the OSMBA conference. I hope that you'll stand strong for women's rights globally, and I hope you'll proudly take the palmetto and crescent tile with you as a reminder of a home-grown, minority, female working hard to make it - not just under this president but under all presidents. We need a steady assertive presence that can be respected and I think you'll do well. And please don't "nix" the arts! Remember that I'm an engineer and my creativity allowed me to solve a problem and save my company millions of dollars when others before me failed. The arts aren't "fluff" - they're a method for people to express themselves and our country and businesses need that to stay innovative. Thanks, Sharon
