My suggestion is to replace the stars and bars with the traditional flag of the confederate.  I base this from both historical as well as educational perspectives; thereby preserving southern  historical significance in the war between the state's.

I hope the the state legislature would exercise common sense I  their discussions and the upcoming vote to resolve this issue.
