We never see to have funds to help the needy citizens of this state but we can come up with $5.2 million to display a flag that represent hate and racism. I do not want the tax dollars I pay to this state to be spent for such an unworthy cause. This would be a slap in the face to every minority citizen of this state, not to mention the Emanuel 9. Why should the tax payers reward traitors and racist for the atrocities inflected upon minorities. Private citizens who support and want an elaborate monument to their ancestors should pay for it themselves. That flag should be treated just like any other flag displayed in the museum. Your support will send a wrong message to the people of South Carolina.
