I am writing to urge Governor Haley to stop the acceptance of the Syrian refugees into the United States and into our state of South Carolina.  While I believe in the humanitarian efforts that are needed for those individuals that are homeless due to the civil war in their country, I do not support opening our borders to refugees which we cannot guarantee are safe to the American people.  The fact that there is a "screening" process does not give me confidence.  We know that ISIS and other groups have been known to raise up terrorists for years before they are detected.  We can not stand aside and put our families and children at a higher risk considering the current circumstances in the world.  Again, I urge Governor Haley to stand against this agenda!
