CONWAY---South Carolina Awareness and Rescue for Equines (S.C.A.R.E.) and Horry County Large Animal Rescue Team invite owners of large animals (cattle, horses, llamas, emus, etc.) to attend a FREE seminar in preparation for the upcoming hurricane season. The seminar will be held on June 22, 2002, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the M.L. Brown County Building in Conway, SC.
The Hurricane Preparedness Seminar will assist large animal owners in preparation for floods, in developing an evacuation plan with and without the animals, in helping make decisions like when to leave with the animals and what routes are available. The seminar will provide answers to vaccination requirements, the appropriate forms for travel, proper identification, trailer safety, where to go and what equipment to have in an emergency kit for large animals.
