Thomas 926 E Meadow Dr Lancaster SC 29720 wilthomas@comporium.net TRAN roads bill 67.197.194.105 You are from a background of good fiscal responsibility--spending wisely, saving for the future, getting rid of debt. Raising our gas tax to help keep our roads in good shape is a wise measure. Please don't let pressure from outside SC, or the wish to say "I didn't raise taxes" stand in the way of supporting this important measure. As the Senate's bill just passed will make a 'fix' for the present, we will get in the same bad place with road repair in the future. Now when gas taxes are so low is the time to put in place a measure that will help the state's road problems in the future. This is best for the people and the state in the long run. Please be a statesman and not a politician as this measure continues to be debated.
