We have just moved to SC.  My wife and I were at ground zero during 9/11/01.  In watching all of these situations go down, and in examining what was involved, this was one of the simplist people to recognize he had mental issues and should have been on watch lists for planes and carrying a weapon.
We want to make sure that the government is looking into why this person was not on watch lists.
Where are the questions regarding the Federal Government's responsibility for NOT putting the Ft Lauderdale shooter on a watch list for flying and for carrying a gun?  These innocent people need to be protected.  This is a domestic person - we should be able to handle something as simple as recognizing these types of people as threats to all of us.
This is extremely important to find out WHY?  He announced he was mentally unstable. 
It was not reasonable that we could stop 9/11, but somewhere, when someone comes into a government office and tells them he has an issue, WHY can't someone like this be stopped.
Can you please put out efforts to find out if this was a failure of the serviceman who interviewed him or is it the head of the service or the federal government (FBI) who made the decision to NOT put him onto the watch lists.
We are not against people having guns, but we are against people having guns on planes.  At this point that is not a trustworthy situation.  People going on vacations should be safe.  The government needs to put the public first.
Congratulations on going to Trump's Team and the UN.  We lived in NY through 9/11...We know it well.  Security will become a number one prioity for you in NY...we want all of our government officials to be secure.
