A former South Carolina Department of Motor
Vehicles employee has been charged with computer fraud,
authorities say.
Kristin Marie Goater, 30, of Chapin,
was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the State Law Enforcement
Division and charged with accessing a computer with the intent
to defraud.
In April, Goater changed someone's driving
record by adding a beginner's permit for a commercial driving
license. That person had not applied for such a license or
take the required test, according to arrest
warrants.
Goater was being held Wednesday at the
Lexington County jail.
