However, I have a bone to pick with you. You talk about Toray as if it's the ONLY carbon fiber company that SC will have. I have been in the business of producing carbon fiber, used in Boeing and military aircraft applications since 1989. It was being made quite awhile before I ever got there. It was Union Carbide, then Amoco Performance Products, then BP-Amoco, then BP, and now Cytec Carbon Fiber. The international company, Solvay, has recently purchased all things Cytec, but our Greenville plants (3 production facilities: GP-1, GP-2, and GP-3) will continue to be identified as Cytec for the near future and continue to produce carbon fiber. Toray is our competitor, but that's ok, as competition breeds quality. Carbon fiber is growing in its possibilities, so there is room for us all. In summary, I'm happy for and proud of our state for "winning" new companies to join us. Just stop ignoring those of us who have been here all along. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
