The Charleston County School District has closed three schools today in the northern end of the county because of Tropical Storm Ophelia.

Lincoln High, McClellanville Middle and St. James-Santee Elementary schools will be closed. Also, students from that area attending other county schools will be excused from school.

Classes should resume Wednesday, but parents are advised to monitor weather conditions through the media.

Citadel cadets who were evacuated Saturday when Ophelia was viewed as more of a threat to Charleston were told Monday to come back to campus. Barracks will open at 9 a.m. today, with a formation scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
