I fully support veterans and soldiers and like to show my support by flying the flag at half staff whenever necessary. However I don't usually find out about it until late in the afternoon. Is it possible that some type of notification could be sent as soon as a proclamation is signed? I lower the flag not only in support of the soldiers in Vet but also in respect and to show sympathy for other events in the world and would appreciate and knowing in a timely fashion when it is allowable. Thank you.
