<WFUD_Request>I am writing in regards to an issue I have encountered with DSS, the ABC voucher program, and my foster child's daycare.  I currently have a foster child that has been attending Little Friends Daycare in Gaffney, SC.  I received a letter on March 2, 2016 from DSS stating that the daycare had been terminated as a provider in the ABC System effective February 22, 2016.  The letter was actually dated February 29, 2016.  By the time I was notified, two weeks of daycare service had lapsed.  This makes me responsible financially for those two weeks of service.  My husband and I have paid the daycare, however I do not think this method of notification is acceptable for foster parents in our state.  When revoking ABC vouchers from a daycare, foster parents should be notified immediately so we have an opportunity to find another suitable daycare.  It is very difficult to find a daycare that both accepts vouchers and has available space for our foster children.  I have spoken to two different people with the ABC voucher system - Jeff Watson and another gentleman named Paul (sorry do not know his last name).  Jeff Watson was supposed to have his manager Sheila Strange return my phone call.  I have left him my phone numbers and my email address but have not heard anything else from them.  I just would like the flaw in this system fixed for other foster parents.  Notice two weeks after the termination is not acceptable.</WFUD_Request>
