Loris SC 29569 eighties_73@yahoo.com (843)756-8818 JOBS Healthy Workplace Bill Thank you for the opportunity to express my concern. Since the Governor has such a staunch anti-union stance, is she doing anything to protect the rights of employees? I'm not a proponent of unions myself, honestly I think many of them became "too big for their britches", but they do provide one very valuable function, keeping the large corporations honest. Regardless of what she may want to believe, most do not support their employees. I've increasingly seen large companies take advantage of the weak economy, consistently increasing productivity demands while reducing yearly increases and benefits. As we are an at-will employment state, non-protected (by anti-discrimination laws) employees have virtually no "friend in court" when they are bullied or micro-managed to the point of quitting or suffering serious stress related health conditions. I recently saw this piece of legislation in other states and understand that there are some coordination efforts going on in South Carolina. I believe that if the Governor is proactive and support the Healthy Workplace Bill or a similar measure, her stance against unions may hold more water her constituents. Thank You
