Our Center is celebrating its 20th anniversary next year.  Could you direct me to the correct person who could assist me in getting a proclamation signed by the governor?  I have attached a draft.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Thank you, Dr. Donelan.

I have copied the Governor’s Scheduler, Nicole Priester, on this email.  She will be able to advise you of the Governor’s availability for your event on November 13.  If I can help in any other way, please let me know.

Subject: Aerospace Career Day at the Challenger Learning Center

Ms. Thomas,

I am the Lead Flight Director at the Challenger Learning Center of Richland County School District One.  We are an aeronautics and space-themed field study destination, providing hands-on STEM activities to inspire students to consider careers in the aerospace industry.

On November 13, 2015, we will be hosting our fifth annual Aerospace Career Day.  During this event, high school students have an opportunity to visit with representatives from aerospace companies, organizations, and higher education institutions to learn about aerospace careers available in South Carolina and where they can get the education and training to get qualified for those careers.

Students will visit between 9am and 1pm.  After the students leave, we will have a networking luncheon for our vendors.  If Governor Haley is available to attend either while the students are here or during the luncheon, to meet the vendors who are willing to donate their time and effort to develop our K-12 workforce pipeline for the aerospace industry, we would be delighted to have her visit.

The event will be held at our facility, located at 2600A Barhamville Road, Columbia, SC, 29204.

If you need any additional information about the event or our program, please let me know.

Thank you very much for your consideration.
