COLUMBIA, S.C. - Gov. Mark Sanford announced a couple of staff changes during his Cabinet meeting Tuesday.
Marisa Crawford, who had been director of Cabinet affairs, is leaving that job to become Sanford's communications coordinator. She'll replace Chris Drummond, a longtime Sanford confidant who was communication director until he left that job in October to start his own public relations and consulting company.
C.H. Maguire will replace Crawford as Cabinet affairs director. Maguire, a retired brokerage executive, joined Sanford's office last fall.
Crawford, 36, keeps her current salary of $73,542.
Maguire, 62, is paid between $35,000 and $40,000 yearly, Sanford spokesman Joel Sawyer said. State employees who make under $50,000 aren't required to have their exact salary reported.
