I understand y'all are very busy and are grieving as we all are.Still, as a career Soldier and veteran who has always supported, campaigned for, and spread the Governor's message far and wide no matter where I was currently living (Aiken is my SC home), I would be remiss in not sending a personal note of condolence and prayers. Every year I get a Christmas card from the Haleys, which I keep on my desk along with a signed photo. As such, I will dispense for a moment with the formalities and say: Nikki, as you wrote to me, God Bless. I hope other servicemembers are reaching out with their support and prayers--I just want to make sure I'm one of them. I have been to more memorial services than I can count and I know something of your pain. And strength. You are a beacon in a very dark time in our country. I wish you, your family, and all South Carolinians peace. V/R Jon Garrick SFC(R) USA OIF
