I understand that there are those who consider this part of their "heritage", but it is NOT part of mine. I am a 61 year old white woman and I find it a symbol of hatred, devisiveness and racism. I am not proud that this is on our State House grounds. Put it in a museum. Please don't let this ugly symbol define our state any longer.
