Charleston Avenue Fairfax SC 29827 nazz956@yahoo.com (803) 632-2105 (803) 942-1829 I am the Spouse of the Late Deputy Charles J. Smith, Allendale County, end of watch 08-24-92. Our son has been diagnosed as schizophrenia-bi-polar and is currently hospitalized at the Beaufort Memorial Psychiatric Hospital, Beaufort, SC. This diagnosis has been in place for at least eight (8) years. I do not receive any assistance for him All his living expenses is provided me, the mother. My son, Brien,is 29 years old and for the past two years has been bringing up the memories of his father's death, which was caused by homicide (killed by local drug dealer). Over a period of time, Brien has been hospitalized at least 6 times, only to return to our home. However, he has been hospitalized 3 times since January of this year (2016) and it is believed that his episodes may be due to unknown person(s) supplying him with drugs. He has become increasingly dangerous to himself, others and myself, whom he verbally abuse and made threats of killing me if I do not give into his demands. My only request from this State is to assist me in placing him in a Rehabilitative Facility that can help him to live as normal a life as he can. I have applied, again, for Medicaid and currently have a Disability (Social Security) claim being processed, after being denied 3 times. However, Brien is in need of immediate placement when he leaves from the Beaufort Hospital, because I am afraid for him to return to our home. Any suggestions or assistance your office can provide would be greatly appreciated. 167.7.248.164
