Hi Nikki - I am a neighbor of your parents - you emailed me once and said if I ever need anything to let you know - well I need something - I am emailing because I have a concern regarding children and face painting services at fairs and events here on Hilton Head Island.  I just spent the past 3 hours talking to people at the town, county and state level and no one can point me in the right direction.  Here is my story:  over the weekend I took my 6-year-old grandchild to the Coligny Plaza event.  One vendor was a face painter.  Coligny Plaza sponsors the event and contracts with the vendor's.  This vendor face painted my grandchild and did not use sterilized brushes.  She put paint on her lips and told her to smack them together - ultimately spreading germs from the dozens of kids she already face painted.  Children carry germs on their lips - herpes being one of the many easily transmitted and not necessarily visible ones.  I want to talk to the person who can stop this women from wanton spreading potentially infectious lethal germs from child to child via her process.  Who would that be?
