Our organization helps children cope with life changing and traumatic events (such as man-made and natural disasters) by providing them with topic specific coloring books and boxes of crayons. Our mission is to give children a voice through coloring and drawing. Children's limited life experiences and immature language skills, often leaves them unable to express the confusing thoughts and emotions that come with events such as these. Research has found that coloring and drawing and can help a child express these thoughts and emotions in a comfortable, familiar way. Additionally, these items give children who have lost everything some they can touch, feel, and call their own. In light of the devastating flood, we would like to send to you flood coloring books as well as boxes of crayons, free of charge, for the children. All I need from you is an address to where to send them for distribution and an approximate count needed. If you would like more information on our organization, please visit www.coloringawaypainfoundation.org. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly at 954-907-9476, toll-free at 1-877-265-6712 or via this email. Lastly, if you know of a community in need that is not included in this email, please feel free to forward to them. Also, know that thoughts and prayers are with your community at this time. God bless you!
