I do not know how you might sleep at night after the racial murders in Charleston and not demand that your legislature deal once & for all with the removal of the confederate flag and its likeness from every part of your government. I am personally thankful that I live in a state in which a symbol so recognized as that of racial bigotry, oppression, and intolerance does not exist. Please take this moment to be brave enough to do the right thing. The entire world understands what that symbol actually represents. Why is it necessary to pretend otherwise in order to placate or pacify those who cling to it's soiled past? If you choose not to address it please be brave enough to clearly state why it is not being abolished as a state recognized symbol. It is embarrassing to our entire country.
