Bethea 1507 Hardy Street Dillon SC 29536 olschoolmedia@gmail.com ENVI Offshore Drilling off South Carolina Coastline 74.255.100.3 Hello Governor Haley! How are you? I hope my message reaches you well... I am in agreement with the environmental group, Don't Drill SC-Lowcountry, and various businesses and political leaders (Tom Rice of Myrtle Beach and Mark Sanford of Charleston) to please reconsider the approval of offshore oil drilling along the coast of South Carolina. There is obviously a conflict between what oil barons want and what the local South Carolina populace wants: offshore oil drilling off the coastal region of South Carolina may fulfill short-term economical goals but not long-term ecological & health issues. My mother enjoys purchasing seafood but what good is ordering seafood from her own state if the seafood she buys carries the possibility of being poisoned by accidental spills or leakage? I understand that your input in this matter is very significant which means that you can prevent this offshore oil drilling proposal from happening. I strongly suggest that you do prevent offshore oil drilling off the coast of South Carolina. It is the right thing to do. Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule in reading this. Best regards, Marvin D. Bethea
