Gregory appointed to Workers' Compensation Commission

Associated Press

Gov. Mark Sanford on Monday named Columbia attorney Harry B. Gregory Jr. to the South Carolina's Workers' Compensation Commission.

Gregory, who still must be confirmed by the Senate, will fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Holly Saleeby Atkins of Columbia.

Gregory is a founding shareholder and partner in Tally & Gregory, LLC, a Columbia-based firm specializing in workers' compensation cases. He is a 1982 graduate of the University of South Carolina and a 1985 graduate of the USC law school.

The commission, which is made up of seven members, is responsible for overseeing the system of benefits provided to injured workers in the state.
