Marketing Opportunity for Ornamental Horticulture Industry
(COLUMBIA)---The South Carolina Department of Agriculture urges all plant and flower or related agribusinesses to exhibit at the Charleston, Columbia, Florence, and Greenville Plant and Flower Festivals. The Midlands Plant and Flower Festival will be held at the Columbia State Farmers Market on April 13-16; the Southern Plant and Flower Festival at the Pee Dee State Farmers Market in Florence on April 27-30; the Piedmont Plant and Flower Festival at the Greenville State Farmers Market on May 4-7; and the Charleston Spring Plant and Flower Festival at Exchange Park in Ladson on April 6-9.
Festival organizers say that exhibiting at any or all of the Plant and Flower Festivals is a great way to have twenty-five to fifty thousand potential customers in a weekend. Ornamental horticulture operations and related businesses are invited to participate. That includes everything from plant and flower operations to companies with lawn and garden products.
Space is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis at all of the festivals (until all spaces are filled). Since festival sites have limited space, organizers urge participants to apply now. To reserve space at the South Carolina Department of Agriculture’s Plant and Flower Festivals, call Mary Ridgeway or Dick Felder at 803-734-2210 or call the local State Farmers Market.
