Dear Governor Haley:
I don't want to give up my guns but I also don't like the idea of giving guns to just anyone either.  We require people to take a written and active driving exam before issuing permits for vehicle useage.  Why can't we enforce more regulations regarding guns? Couldn't stricter regulations be phased in through the years?   

Just as exams do not prevent all auto accidents, neither would they prevent guns and/or people from killing each other.  Regardless, we still require the driving tests.  And we hold the owners/automakers responsible for many deaths, enforce seatbelt laws, etc.  Yet allowing any Tom, Dick or Harry to purchase a gun, especially automatic weapons, is plain ridiculous.  Where is our common sense?  Could we not hold the owners/gun manufacturers responsible as well?  What about the bars that serve the alcohol to the person who drinks and drives?  Don't they lose their license and aren't they heavily fined.  Yet gun dealers sell weapons to anyone they want and are not held responsible?  People who sell liquor without a license are put in jail.  Yet we freely sell weapons on the Internet, advertise them in classified ads, etc. without penalty?  Sorry....but somethings gotta give here?
