I am the mother of one of our South Carolina state troopers. I am not a person prone to worry but I am a person who understands behavior in people. Trained by profession to understand and deals daily with people who behave or act out behavior from negative emotions. My concern is how are you gonna Protect my son and other troopers during this week?  With tensions already escalating during this week without the added pressure of Fergurson or NYC our guys are going to be sent out to their sentence if you as our governor do not take action now. I as a mother and as an ordained minister again who deals with people and hatred everyday ask you to cancel this event for this year. Our guys our officers our sons are worth more than the income brought into our economy for this event. I hope and pray that you will be courageous enough to stand up against this event and protect our law enforcement and first responders. I don't want to see our beautiful beach towns destroyed and I certainly don't want to get the call that my son or any other trooper has been executed. Please Mrs. Haley protect our guys and our town. Thank you.
