Hi! My name is Mills Hayes and I'm a junior at Lexington High School. I am doing my senior project on the negative effects of gender stereotypes and how feminism can empower both women and men. We have to conduct an interview for the project, and there is no better person to ask than the women who busted through gender stereotypes and became the first female governor in South Carolina! Thank you for considering my request of Governor Haley's opinion. 

How do you think your status as the first female governor of South Carolina has changed the way men view women?

What obstacles have you had to overcome dealing with gender stereotypes in your work field? 

What can you say to women who are interested in entering a mostly male dominated work field? 

Since men's enrollment in college has dropped significantly over the years compared to women's, do you think this can be blamed on female's success? 

How do you think feminism can bring positive change for women and men?

In your opinion what is the worst gender stereotype in today's society?
