Dear Honorable Governor Haley and Esteemed Staff:

I am Lauren Painter, a current Residential Senior Vocalist at our prestigious South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.  I am honored to be a SCGSAH Govie for it has provided me collegiate conservatory-training and performance opportunities only available here at the high school level. My passion for performing and my vocal training have grown tremendously here.  Now, as I work to complete collegiate applications, I am so excited to grow my musical training at the collegiate level.  I know my tenure at SCGSAH has prepared me to be seriously considered by some of our state's most prestigious Schools of Music.  Thank you to both you and our Legislation for your support of SCSGAH that provides aspiring artists, like me, the chance to develop our skills so greatly, so early, in our careers.

I write to inquire if your Governor's Office would consider providing me a Letter of Recommendation/Accolade for the SCGSAH Cantus Choir's performance on January 14, 2015 at your Gubernatorial Re-Inauguration that I can submit as part of my Collegiate Applications.  It was such an honor to perform for you and the several international dignities who shared this historical day for you and for South Carolina.

Thank you for your consideration of my inquiry. If able to provide, if I could receive such letter no later than November 6th, 2015. This allows me to provide it to Furman University, Converse College and University of South Carolina by their requested deadlines of December 1st, 2015.

I extend my appreciation and gratitude, in advance, for your consideration and ability to complete this request.
