I had got promoted to full-Time in Oct, 2013 and I was able to receive insurance from BCBS on 10/01/2013. My short-term at the time was with mutual of Omaha until they changed to Lincoln Financial Group. I recently have had two surgeries on my breast and been denied because of pre-existing conditions. I think this is very unfair to cancer patients especially since the Obama health care has waved pre-existing conditions to help people. If I could have waited over six months for surgery... which you can't because the cancer will continue to spread...I would have got my short-term. This needs to be looked into....we as Cancer patients are faced with fighting for our life...not counting loosing our homes, not having money to pay our bills, nor food that we REALLY need with this journey to fight for our life...not counting upcoming issues that may arise with radiation/and if I make it reconstructive surgery. It would mean the world to all of us with cancer if you could help us. Thank You Sincerely, Mary Smith
