I was shocked to learn that state employees were getting a bonus!!  I had just discovered that my pay had increased just under $68.00 over the last five years, so I was a little excited!!!  Then I hear that the bonuses would NOT be given to teachers.  Can I ask why, if this is true?  Do other state employees buy supplies for their jobs?  I know, teachers get $250 at the beginning of the year.  That may last a couple of months and then we spend our own money to refurbish the supply.  It is sad that teachers are always the group that gets cut out.  If not for many teachers you would not be in the position that you are in now.  That statement can be said to every employee in the state.  As a single mother with NO SUPPORT, my personal children could have used that money.  As it is right now, I live paycheck to paycheck just to get by.  It has been very hard.  

well I know that you and your family will have a wonderful Christmas with plenty of gifts to go around.  My family and myself will be grateful for the few that we have.  So sad that someone who wants to help others can not be appreciated by the state that he/she works in.
