Dear Governor Haley,
I am writing to urge you to move
forward on developing a state plan to
comply with the Environmental
Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Power
Plan. Although South Carolina is
far from progressive on any issue,
taking the lead in alternative/clean
power choices seems logical in a
"Sunshine Belt" state! Please make our
state a leader in the
choice that makes sense for us, and for the
planet. Thank you.
While the courts do their due diligence by
reviewing the Clean Power
Plan, I strongly encourage you to ensure our
state powers ahead on
developing plans to act on climate change by
limiting heat-trapping
emissions and transitioning to renewable
energy.
