I am very concerned about "low income tax credits" and the developers/Companies that build this type of housing, using these tax credits. Is there any oversight on these developers? If not, there should be.... I have been learning more and more about the use of these tax credits, and the developers who use them to build low income properties across the Nation. I am concerned. How can these developers build complexes where each individual unit would cost 300,000.00, based on the total building cost. I was alerted by a story I followed in Cary, Illinois. Pedcor was the developer. After I researched, I came to find this could be a possible "Ponzi scheme", after I learned about how tax credits are used. Please put an end to these developers inflating building costs, using tax credits, in our great State, if not already. I firmly believe this program needs a second look by Government, and builders need to be accountable for every penny spent!!
