I think it is unethical to charge pets for rent. After all, we already paid for our pets and give a sizeable deposit for them. It seems to me to be ridiculous to ask pet owners to be charged rent for the pets we already own and have placed deposits and fees. As pet owners we are doing a great service keeping up with their vet bills and overall health and keeping them from homelessness. This concept of pet rent is not allowed in many other States, and I think it should be banned in the State of South Carolina. The domesticated animals in South Carolina need love from us not a bill for existing. Thank you for your time. If one moved in with a fish, no one would charge it 10 dollars a month. The same should go for dogs and cats and birds within reason. The landlords already have the deposit. It seems greedy and petty and discourages the people of South Carolina to bring loving domesticated creatures into our homes for care. It's not a great day in South Carolina when something so petty exists in our communities. Sincerely Chris Viard
