As an individual who was under mandatory evacuation I had to help assist my friends and family to ensure that everyone was safe. Because of this I missed the game and now am out $500 and the university is not compensating individuals. I believe that the university has an ethical issue here as citizens help support the school and thousands of individuals are out of money. I have contacted the school and they state that they are entitled to move the game and take citizens money if they so choose too. This is irresponsible and unethical to where there should be a law or policy in place to protect citizens in the case of state emergencies. What steps can I or the state take? There is an outcry on social media with individuals like myself.
