Lexington County Farm-City Showcase
LEXINGTON, SC ----The 8th Annual Lexington County Farm-City Showcase will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2002, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the K-Mart parking lot at Highway 1 and 378 in Lexington.
The event is designed to show the interdependence of farm and city dwellers. The daylong event will include: a children’s casting contest; children’s tractor pull competition; agriculture, agribusiness and local industry exhibits; free ice cream and peanuts; petting zoo; plant problem clinic; pony rides; and more.
Supporting sponsors include: Clemson Extension Service, Batesburg-Leesville, Gilbert, Lexington Technology Center & Pelion FFA Chapters; Gilbert-Summit & Lexington Kiwanis Clubs; Lexington Chamber of Commerce; Lexington County Farm Bureau; and the Sandhills young Farmer & Agribusiness Chapter.
