Does the Governor's office have any power to do so? Where can I find the constitution and code for determining who has the actual authority to step in and remove a corrupt county sheriff? If the Governor can in fact suspend or remove a sheriff, would she be inclined to do so in this case if it can be done so in accordance with state law?
